More About Claire F
Claire enjoys tutoring because it's the only time when she gets to focus on one child to help and support them. She reacts quickly to their needs and adapts the session as they go.
Over the years, she has supported lots of children preparing for SATs. She also helps children who need support completing homework tasks. She supports children who don't want to get into arguments with mum and dad. She helps those children who just find one aspect of school a bit challenging.
Claire likes to make tutoring sessions fun. She ensures the child leads what he or she needs or wants from the session. She does this with lots of little practical activities, short tasks and games leading to activities that ensure concepts are cemented. She knows the child feels more confident and positive.
Outside the Classroom
Claire volunteers with the Scouts Association supporting the climbing team. She enjoys walking in the Peak District and seeing friends in her spare time.
Fun fact: Claire used to be a teacher at Dobcroft School in Sheffield.
